Every decked block I have seen has a machined surface. :And it looks as if Tech@ERP is correct about the scraper not fitting. Pics don't lie and that looks like the same scraper you have. :Good luck with the build. Just so you guys know, I did not do the machine work. A VERY reputable local shop did the work. Don't worry, it wasn't some chevy big block domestic shop where clearances don't matter. This shop does a lot of Porsche builds, BMW builds, and gets a fair bit of higher end Imports and high HP builds. They know exactly what is planned for the motor and they know what they're doing. ---------------------------------
